About Dracaena NYC
Dracaena NYC is a Brooklyn plant shop built around one idea: you should get the exact plant you see. We photograph every plant individually, list it as a one-of-a-kind item, and hand-deliver it across New York City - or hand it to you at our pickup point in Ocean Hill, Brooklyn.
The widest living dracaena collection in New York
We specialize in dracaena. Dragon trees, marginatas, corn plants and rarer varieties, in sizes from 1'6" to 11 feet - the widest living dracaena collection in the city. Every dragon tree on this site is a specific plant with its own height, shape and character, not a stock photo of a species. Alongside them we carry statement cacti and succulents for bright, sunny windows.
Why we built a plant shop around dracaena
Dracaenas are some of the most forgiving large plants for New York apartments: bright indirect light suits them, they accept lower light, they drink rarely, and they live for decades with minimal attention. They also grow tall without spreading wide, which suits pre-war layouts and small floor plans. Many dracaena varieties are also well-known air-purifying foliage plants. Our rule is simple: we would rather sell you a plant that fits your light than a plant that fails in a month.
How plant delivery works
Order before 3 PM and your plant usually arrives the same day in Brooklyn and Manhattan; when the route is full, it moves to the next morning and we tell you which one before you pay. Delivery is priced by distance from our Ocean Hill hub: free within 5 miles on orders $30 and up, $15 from 5 to 10 miles, $30 from 10 to 20 miles and $49 from 20 to 30 miles. We also run scheduled deliveries across Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island and nearby New Jersey. Every plant travels upright, packed to protect its leaves and canes, and we send a photo when we arrive. Pickup at 215 Macdougal St, Brooklyn, NY 11233 is free.
One plant, one buyer
Every listing is one of one. When you claim a plant, that exact plant leaves our collection and it never comes back - which is why new dracaena arrive every week. Missed one you loved? Message us and we will point you to the closest living match, or browse the full catalog to see what has just arrived.
